Rules and your data
- Flight time limits
- For airline, commuter and air taxi crews, under Transport Canada’s CAR 700.27 or the FAA’s Part 117 and Part 135, with a warning before you’re close.
- Recency and expiries
- Recency to carry passengers by day and night, and IFR, beside your medical and instrument rating dates.
- Private by design
- Pages sent for AI reading aren’t kept after they’re read, and never train a model.
- Export, always
- If your membership ends, your logbook stays open to read, search and export.
AI import is unlimited for your own logbook. The free trial includes 50 pages read by AI from photos.
Some flights’ registrations can’t be filled in, such as those from remote airports or before March 2023; they stay blank for you to fill in.
Questions
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Create your logbook and use everything for 30 days without entering a card. You only add one if you decide to join.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing is charged unless you join. Your logbook stays: you can open it, search it and export it. Joining lets you add lines and import again.
Is AI import really unlimited?
Yes, for your own logbook as a member: no credits, no daily limit and no yearly cap. The free trial includes 50 pages read by AI from photos, enough to see it read your own paper logbook; spreadsheets, PDFs and your calendar have no limit. A whole paper career is usually a few hundred pages.
Who reads my pages?
Our AI service provider, which doesn’t train on them and keeps them for a limited time only to check for misuse. Most PDFs from logbook apps are read by Waypoint from their text instead. Your files stay with Waypoint only until the import is saved or cancelled, 30 days at most, and photos lose their location before they leave your device.
Which airlines are connected?
Porter, through N-OC, and United, through its schedule PDFs. Every other pilot imports through Google Calendar or AI import, which reads any roster, report or logbook.
Can I pay in US dollars, or cancel?
Yes: $44.99 USD a year. Cancel any time in Settings; you keep everything until the year you paid for ends.
